This page explains how songbyheart (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use songbyheart.com and our song studio.

We keep this short on purpose. We only want the information we need to make, deliver, and support your song.

What we collect

You choose what to share. Depending on how you use the site, that may include:

• Names and how you know the person the song is for
• Stories, memories, traits, messages, and other details you type in
• Your email address and, if you give it, your phone number
• Photos or other files you upload for a gift page or add-on
• Your order choices, such as style, extras, and how many songs you want
• Basic technical information, such as browser type, device, and pages viewed, which our hosting provider may log to keep the site running

We do not ask for your payment card number. Payments are handled by the payment provider you use at checkout.

How we use it

We use your information to:

• Write and generate your song from the story you share
• Create any extras you order, such as a gift page or cover art
• Take payment, confirm your order, and send the finished song
• Reply when you contact us, including refunds and changes
• Keep the site secure and fix problems

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your stories for advertising. We do not contact you for marketing unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

We share information only when needed to run the service:

• Hosting and storage providers that keep the website and files online
• Payment providers that process your checkout
• The tools we use to generate lyrics, music, and related files from your inputs
• Anyone we must tell if the law requires it

These providers should only use your information to provide their service to us. Please do not include secrets, passwords, or sensitive documents in your story.

Drafts saved on your device

The studio may save your answers in your browser (local storage) so you can come back if you leave halfway through. That copy stays on your device. Clearing your browser data deletes it.

Cookies and similar tools

We do not run advertising cookies. Payment and hosting providers may set their own cookies so checkout and the site work. You can block cookies in your browser, but some parts of checkout may then fail.

How long we keep it

We keep order and contact details for as long as we need them to deliver your song, handle support, and meet tax or legal duties. We then delete or de-identify them when we no longer need them. You can ask us to delete your information — see below.

Your choices

You can email us to ask what information we hold, to correct it, or to delete it where we no longer need it to finish an order or keep required records. If a law where you live gives you extra rights, those rights still apply.

Children

songbyheart is for adults. Do not use the service if you are under 18. If you are making a song about a child, only share details you are happy and allowed to share.
